Data Formating using formulas

is there a way to take the data in column A and format it to look like column B in the example below. I've tried everything. Index, match, Row, etc and am stuck. Please help.

***************************************************************************
column A
***************************************************************************
user_name=Frank
Responsibility=DBA

user_name=Ed
Responsibility=SECURITY ADMIN

user_name=Tony
Responsibility=DBA
Responsibility=Security Admin

user_name=Charles
Responsibility=DBA
Responsibility=Security Admin
Responsibility=Programmer
Responsibility=Manager

user_name=Robert

***************************************************************************
Desired Result in column B (or any column)
***************************************************************************

user_name=Frank
user_name=Frank - Responsibility=DBA

user_name=Ed
user_name=Ed - Responsibility=SECURITY ADMIN

user_name=Tony
user_name=Tony - Responsibility=DBA
user_name=Tony - Responsibility=Security Admin

user_name=Charles
user_name=Charles - Responsibility=DBA
user_name=Charles - Responsibility=Security Admin
user_name=Charles - Responsibility=Programmer
user_name=Charles - Responsibility=Manager

user_name=Robert
user_name=Robert - N/A

Re: Data Formating using formulas

I can't see that being possible with formula, I think you would need a VBA script.

Dom
"May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch..."

Use code tags when posting your VBA code:
Your code here
Remember, saying thanks only takes a second or two. Click the little star to give some Rep if you think an answer deserves it.
