    Deriving formula between two ranges

    Hi All,

    I have two ranges, for example,
    X = {750.80, 5726.90, 7754.56} and Y = {696.91, 5713.06, 8015.54}.

    I need to derive formula for Y, in terms of X as a baseline.
    For example, Y = X + (n)X.

    Can anyone tell me how to do this? How to find value of "n"?

    Thanks and Regards
    Chetan

    If Y = X + (n)X.

    then Y = X*(1 + n)

    and Y/X = 1 + n

    so n = Y/X - 1

    And there are 3 values for each group. Do we need to take average of those?

    I don't know if you need to take an average ... it's your data. What are you trying to do.

    I thought you were trying to find the value of n for various pairs of values of X and Y.
