    Copy & paste filtered data

    Hi,

I would like to move a set of rows (Planned Orders) to the left by 1 column, but Excel does not let me paste onto filtered data....I've tried the sort function, but since there are so many formulas in the data sheet, some of the data got messed up....is there a way to solve this? Please see dummy file. (Comments in RED and cells are filtered by column G)

    Your help is appreciated!

    Hi ybu1106,

How about using a little VBA to move those selected columns one to the left? Here is the code to do it.

Thanks....but I thought there's alternative/simplier way of doing this not involving VBA codings

    Hi,

Excel has so much to it, you are most likely correct. I'd imagine you would filter your data and then select it using something like "visible rows only" and then cut and paste it one column to the left. I think this would be a process instead of a formula. I'm sorry I gave you a VBA solution if there is a much easier one.

Maybe one of the smart gorum guru's will have a better answer.

I've tried that, it doesn't let me paste when the data is filtered

I guess you'll have to go with the VBA then, unless someone has an easier way.
