Excel displays CSV commas as symbols

When we run a report from Enovia, it creates a CSV file that we open in Excel 2010. However, Excel displays the commas as strange symbols. However, if the file gets emailed to another person, the symbols are not there and the xlsx looks just like it should.

hmmm...I'd try formatting with a different font. Might there be an odd substitution going on for a font not installed on your system? If the other user has the font, there'd be no display issue. Also, and I don't see why this would be the case, what if they aren't actually commas? Select one of the commas, and copy and paste it into the CODE function: =CODE(","). If it's a genuine comma, it should return 44. Out on a limb here, but why not?

If Excel opens a csv file, you shouldn't see commas at all. The commas are interpreted as column separators and are not imported with the content.

I would suggest opening the file in a simple ASCII text editor to see what it looks like, and see if they are really commas. tlafferty's suggestion of checking the code is also a good one. Possibly save it again to see if that clears the issue. I have no idea what Enovia produces.
