I have a very large excel sheet containing important data.
I have started to nottice when I click on the arrow on one of the titles to filter, some of the data is not contained in the drop down menu.
Is there a reason for this?
This information is all there however it is not contained in the drop down menu when filtering?

I think the filter list is limited to 1000 unique items.

A workaround is to have an index column with just a formula like =LEFT(A2,1) in it which you can then use to narrow your filter list down to a particular letter of the alphabet.
