    Counting with criteria (more than countif?)

    Dear forum,

    I have the following query -

    What would be the best way to get the information required by the table from the results on the left?

    I assume some form of count function?

    At this stage, I am not conerned with sorting the table, just how best to collate the information within it based on the match results shown.

    Your assistance would be appreciated.

    What do P, W, D, L, F, A, and GD stand for? How will Pts be calculated?
    Is your code running too slowly?
    Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?
    Have a look at this article to learn the best ways to set up your projects.
    It will save both time and effort in the long run!

    Played (total games)
    Won
    Drawn
    Lost
    For (goals)
    Against (goals)
    Goal Difference (F minus A)
    Pts = 3 for W, 1 for D, 0 for L
