Excel Formula Query

Hi

I am trying to workout a formula which will:

1. Seach for a partial word from a cell i.e. " Peter "

Peter Chase
Peter Homes
Peter Birmingham

2. After it has found the name in 1 then it will add up all columns with the associated costs.

If anyone could provide any assistance, it would be appreciated

Once you'd changed the thread title I'd suggest a sample workbook demonstrating your data layout and expected result would also help.
