    Time Intervals

    Hi,

I have a worksheet with start times (hh:mm:ss) in column B and end times (hh:mm:ss) in column C for thoushand of rows. I am wanting to identify in columns K onwards whether the case in each row falls into the following 4 hour intervals - 0-4, 4-8, 8-12, 12-16, 16 - 20, 20 - 24. I would simply populate each time interval with 1 for yes and 0 for no. Each interval is in a seperate column as some time periods will fall across a number of intervals.

I had tried to copy a formula from another query but it doesn't seems to work. I am using Excel 2000.

    Any ideas?

    Re: Time Intervals

Hi and welcome to the board

Does it have to be entirely in the time interval or does partly suffice to get a 1?

    Re: Time Intervals

Just partly, it is about occupancy so if somebody occupies a room for at least part of the time interval then we would mark it as a true value. The 4 hour time periods are abitrary and we could equally look at 2 hour time slots.
