Hi,
I am trying to covert text in a cell like this: Nov 23 2011 into a date formatted like this: mmm/d/yy
I've tried the datevalue and a few other things but I can't seem to get it to work
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Have you tried using "Text to Columns" on the Data tab? First format the cells to mmmm/d/yy and then do text to columns>Fixed length> Next>Date>Finish
Does that work for you?

Alternative, formula solution:
=TEXT(SUBSTITUTE(A1," ",", ",2),"mmm/d/yy")
Hope that helps,
