Need help solving Equation for f (iteration)

Im new to the solver function in Excel. The equation is as follows:

0=1/SQRT(f)+2.0Log(((e/D)/3.7)+(2.51/(Re*SQRT(f))))

or

1/(f^0.5)+2.0Log((e/D)/3.7 + 2.51/Re*f^0.5)=0

i have all the known values plugged in for each variable in a spreadsheet. Just need to know what to use the solver function to solve for "f".

Not entirely sure I understand your question. If I understand it correctly, it should be as simple as pick a reasonably starting value for f, calculate the function for that initial guess, then call Solver and tell it to set the function result to a value of 0 by changing f.
