Inserting a measure in a PowerPivot pivot table to count unique values

Could someone suggest a formula I can use to create a PowerPivot pivot table column to return the number of unique customers that purchased a given product?

In my vain attempt to figure this out myself, I came across some information about counting unique values at http://www.contextures.com/xlPivot07.html and I read about creating calculated columns here http://betterandfasterdecisions.com/...pressions-dax/ … but I can't seem to put the pieces together

In the attached example spreadsheet, you'll see tons of duplicate rows, which might make more sense if you saw the entire spreadsheet but it’s 250,00 rows so I won't upload it.

    Sheet 1 = pivot table
    Sheet 2 = sample data
Sheet 3 = sample data with duplicate customer I.D.s removed to show the desired answer – but in the pivot table of course

    Thank you in advance!
