    Date Format

I have a strange data format on the attached example. It is in euro in the data sheet (dd/mm/yy) and I want it to be US (mm/dd/yy). I tried changing the date to a number and using the =date function. That does not work. The number is strange. When I graph with the current date formatting I get the strange value on the X axis instead of the date displayed in the cell.

Can someone help me correctly format this data to mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss?

That doesn't convert it from euro, (dd/mm/yy) to american (mm/dd/yy).

    Re: Date Format

    Hi
The date is already in "MM/dd/yy" style and is 8 November 11. check it by applying "01-mar-01 "style. (see yellow).

You can get the required format by applying "dd/mm/yy" style (see green)
The graph is strange because the date is same and the values are accumulated to show only on bar. Change the date and the graph will be OK

    See attached also.

    Re: Date Format

How do I change the date from Nov 8 to Aug 11? It should be august 11th, the instrument was set to august 11 and it read over consecutive days, and the next day was 12/08/11, not 11/09/11. Is there a way to tell excel that it is aug 11 not nov 8?
