    Generating List from Parameters Help

I've created a list of items with a column that shows whether they passed or failed an inspection. From that main list I want to create a separate list that is populated by the items that failed. I've been able to create a list using if and cell"contents" function. The only problem I have is in the new list I create items that do no say fail but say pass show up on the new list as False. I want the new list to only have items that have failed.

Use Advanced Filter, copy to a new location.

    See the attached example.

Attached is a one of the non VBA method. Column A is helper to get relevant row numbers. Copy down as much you need, then you can hide this column, if you don't want to show.

Re: Generating List from Parameters Help

I recently asked a similar question, and found that the answer was not intuitive to me--I'm still trying to understand it. That said, paste the following code into B18.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
While editing the cell, confirm it as an array formula by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Enter. Now drag the contents from B18 through B28. Columns A, C, and D can be paired using an Index and Match combination, as shown in the attached file.
