Autopopulating Tables from Word to Excel

    Hi all,

I have a situation where I'm working with a questionnaire template in Word that is going to be filled out by a number of different people. Part of the survey is quantitative, and the surveyors will be capturing data in word tables.

Rather than cutting and pasting each word table into excel once completed to perform the requisite data manipulation, im wondering if there's any way to fill in a table in Word and have it autopopulate into a given Excel file where the manipulation can be done.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Thanks,
    Dan

You might try building the survey in InfoPath - you can then get results into Excel easily for manipulation.

It's been a few years since I worked on this, but it is very do-able.

Thanks very much. Unfortunately this is a situation where the surveyors will have limited software capabilities on the ground in a number of developing countries, so any solution would need to rely on Word and Excel only.
