    Find MIN/MAX values by Category

I'm trying to figure out how to obtain min/max values for multiple categories (foods, in this case) within a spreadsheet. I've attached a Word doc showing a sample.

The sheet contains the following columns:

    Type of Fruit (Column A)
    Product Code (Column B)
    Price (Column C)

A given type of fruit--apples, for example--may show up in multiple rows, each with a different price. I'm trying to figure out how to return a minimum and maximum price for each 'type of fruit' (as shown), along with the row data for those selections, eg the corresponding product codes.

Can this be done without using VBA?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

    Hi.

I give you a solution, using INDEX&MATCH---IF--MIN & MAX FUNCTIONS

All formulas are Arrays Formulas. This means that you have to use Ctrl+Shift+Ender. Not just Enter.

Also please, don't attach pictures. It's betτer for all of us to attach a sample workbook.

    Hope to helps you.
