Date formatting from 11340 to 12/06/2011

I looked around and did not find a solution for this. I have a date in an excel 2003 sheet. The date is formatted like this. 11340 The first two digits being the year and the last 3 being the actual day in the year. What would be the formula to convert it from 11340 to 12/06/2011?

    Thanks for your help.

    Try this:

    =DATE(LEFT(A1,2)+2000, 1,0)+RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-2)

    Try this,

    =DATE(2000+LEFT(A1,2),1,RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-2))

If it always be 5 digit,

    =DATE(2000+LEFT(A1,2),1,RIGHT(A1,3))
    Regards,
