Getting all dates in a column to same format

    Hello,

I am dealing with a large workbook and would like to get all the dates the same. Some are in mm/dd/yy and some are in mm/dd/yyyy. I would like to get them all into mm/dd/yy.

How can I do this. I have tried to SELECT all the cells and FORMAT CELLS to mm/dd/yy and it is not working.

    Thanks,

    Pam

Hi and welcome to the forum

Maybe your dates ( or some of them) are text looking like dates, not real dates
Try Data - Text to columns - Next - Next - Select the date format type - Finish
You can then format as needed
