    Conditional Formatting with percentages

    Good Afternoon!

    I am trying to create a formula within conditional formatting that will highlight the cell red if cell H8 <= 80% of cell G8. I cannot figure out how to write the formula. Can it be an IF statement? I want to state it that if cell H8 is <= cell G8 then highlight cell H8 red. Attached is a sample of the numbers. I do not have a column that gives the percentage and I really don't want to have to create another column. Can this all be done within the conditional formatting of the cell?

    Thanks!

    Select H7:H11 and Conditional Formatting>New Rule>Use Formula

    =AND(H7>0,H7<= G7*0.8) and format appropriately.

    Does that work for you?

    Re: Conditional Formatting with percentages

    Well actually both of these formulas work initially; however if I add in my second formatting (>= 90%) using the same formula but changing the percentage and color, it changes it to green. Red is <= 80%, Green is >=90%. Shouldn't I be able to have two (or more) different conditional formatting rules for the cell?

    Re: Conditional Formatting with percentages

    What specifically was your second format? You can move the order of the formatting rules up or down.
    =G7*90%>=H7 should be before
    =G7*80%>=H7 Does that help?
