    Convert text to columns

Sorry if thi is a bit tricky but i would love to create a spreadheet but the ite im getting the stats from isnt Excel friendly. Although they appear n the site as rowns and column when I paste them to Excel all I get is this (exactly like thi in Excel column 1):

    Name Bases Friends Military Rank
    Rovshan 95 - 27
    SorrowbringeR 75 - 26
    ISTIQLAL 78 - 24
    Royal 80 - 24
    Turan 48 - 23
    ULUTURK 65 - 22
    KARABAKHLI 42 - 22
    macman 73 - 21

As you can see there are 4 columns of data = Name, Bases, Friends, Military Rank.

Is there any way I can get the above data quickly into 4 column of data without having to type it all up a there are 1000's of entries

Re: Convert text to columns - Tricky One

It is very hard to figure out your data structure. Can you please attach a dummy file with desired results? Go to bottom click Go Advanced >> Manage Attachments & browse the file.

Simply how can i convet this text string into 4 columns of data

    SorrowbringeR 75 - 26

    I want it to be

    Column 1 = SorrowbringeR
    Column 2 = 75
    Column 3 = -
    Column 4 = 26

As mentioned, all i get when i cut/paste is just a line of text as hghlighted in bold

How about Text to columns SPACE as delimiters,

Select data go to Data >> text to columns

    Select Delimited, click next
    Select Space and click Finish.
