    Conditional formatting isnumber

I suppose this is basic... but I've been googling for half an hour!

How can I conditionally format cells from A1 to F5, so that only NUMBERS (not words, letters) are coloured?
I know it's with IFNUMBER, but how do I enter the formula?
    Please help... thanks!!

Select the range A1:F5 then apply the formula in conditional formatting that applies to the top left cell of the range, in this case that would be

    =ISNUMBER(A1)
    Audere est facere
