    Sheet copy

    Hi,

I have sheet with rows that contains data. I'd like to copy data from a row to excel tamplate - about 6 or 7 diffrent data to copy. I entered data to the first tamplate sheet manualy (=sheet1.a1). Is there a way to copy this sheet (sheet2) to sheet3 so the cell a1 will read (=sheet1.a2) and not (sheet2.a1).

    Thank you
    Regards,
    John

    Re: Sheet copy

Try copying the entire sheet with Ctrl+A > Ctrl+C and then pasting on sheet 2 with Ctrl+A > Ctrl+V.

    Hi,

This looks like SF to me. Is there any chance for step by step guide. I don't know much more about excel then sum and very simple if. I've heard of macros but i have no idea what that is.

Thank you very much for the help.

    Re: Sheet copy

    hi,
well, i am not a good teacher at all!
go to Tools -> Macro -> Security -> Medium.
then you should be able to open the test file I uploaded here for you.
    sheet1, you can see:
-some data in row 1 to 3
    -one button "copy"
when you hit the button a message box appears and if you want to copy, answer with "yes" or "no", it copies data from row 1:3 to sheet2 if you say "yes".
in sheet 2 you can see:
    -header
    -old data
    -new copied data

    hope it helps you!
