Excel 2010 Find & Replace for a portion of a file name

I have recently migrated from Excel 2003 to 2010. I find the Find & Replace to be more of a headache in 2010.

Many of my cells have file names in them. For example, cell A1 has:

    =IF('J:\Operations\Daily Logs\WEST SYSTEM\2012\1 Jan\[ACH West -SCADA Readings - January 2012.xlsm]3'!$AJ$54<381,"",'J:\Operations\Daily Logs\WEST SYSTEM\2012\1 Jan\[ACH West -SCADA Readings - January 2012.xlsm]3'!$AJ$54)

In 2003, if I were to perform a Find&Replace, I could change a portion of the file name. In this instance first I want to change January to February, then I will change 1 Jan to 2 Feb.

In 2010, if I want to perform the same function, it ask me to choose a file. 2003 did the same thing, however, I could bypass it by holding ESC. Whereas, now I have to select the file. I need to do this for thousands of cells. Is there a way to overcome this issue in 2010?

Re: Excel 2010 Find & Replace for a portion of a file name

    Maybe I'll try rephrasing:

I have a bunch of external links in my workbook. In 2003, when I would perform a find&replace, a popup window would prompt me to find a file. In that case I would hold ESC and the find & replace would perform for 1000's of cells.

In 2010, I can't do this anymore and it would take forever to perform my find&replace

My cells would have something like:

    =IF('J:\Operations\Daily Logs\WEST SYSTEM\2011\1 Jan\[ACH West -SCADA Readings - January 2011.xls]

In the cell above I would have to replace:
    - 2011 to become 2012
    - ACH to become H2O
    - .xls] to become .xlsm]

How can I do this for thousands of cells the quick way????

    Please help

What range of cells are you wanting to apply this to?
