    vlookup

    Hello,

I thought I knew how to do vlookups but I can't seem to figure it out...could some one take a look at this? Its pretty basic but apparently so am I!

I want to look up the name in the left column (A) compare it and match it to column D and return the value in column E.

    Thanks

    Re: vlookup

You using a wrong syntax for vlookup formula. Try:

    =VLOOKUP(D3, $A$1:$B$51, 2, FALSE)
