Using VLOOKUP across two workbooks with multiple criteria

I work in tourism and use excel to track 8 day tours and all reservations and activities associated with each tour. One sheet is the master sheet which is a detailed index of each day of each tour. I keep up with hotels, guides, boats, restaurants, etc. Another sheet is the Pax Sheet where I have a sheet for each tour. I keep up with passender (pax) info for that particular tour and the reservation data associated with the tour. I want to use VLOOKUP to go to the Master sheet, find the trip and trip day and populate the cells in each days row with appropriate info (the hotel name for that day, the breakfast restaurant, etc.).

On the Pax Sheet there's one cell with the trip name in it I am trying to use for the VLOOKUP. Since there's 8 days in a trip, on the Master sheet there's 8 rows. Can I do a VLOOKUP with info from two cells (trip name + trip day)? Or do I need to create another column?

    I have tried =VLOOKUP($D$1&" "&B47,'[2012 NEW Master (12 30 update).xlsx]Every Day'!$C:$AW,11,FALSE)

    No luck.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Might be better to post the actual files as you're referring to D1 and B47 and those cells dont appear in the screenshots

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
