    Blank cells

    I want to create a formula that will look above the row for the first cell with a value then add one to that value, for example:

    A1 = "2"
    A2 = ""
    A3= ""
    A4 = A1+1

    OR

    A1 = "2"
    A2 = "4"
    A3= ""
    A4 = A2+1

    =LOOKUP(1E+100,A$1:A3)+1
    should work I believe.
