Months out of order on pivot chart

I'm making a graph of 4 months (sept, oct, nov and dec) but when I go to graph the data, those month names (pivoted on the horizontal axis) read out oct, nov, dec, sept > in that order.

Why is sept at the end and how can I move it to the beginning where it goes?

    Hi,
Is that field in the underlying pivot table sorted ascending or manually? If the latter you should be able to simply drag the month names into the order that you require, or the former should do it for you automatically.
    Good luck.

    Hello,

the three-letter codes for oct, dec, and nov are recognized as month names and treated as such. "sept" is a four-letter code that is not recognized as a month name. Change it to "sep" and try again.

    cheers,
