Incremental issue

I have an excel sheet with different text in a1-a100 i have to format the text so i can put it into a script and have a text if 1 in between each row. This sheet is a live document and changes monthly. The output into the column that i need is as below.

text from a1
1
text from a2
1
text from a3
1
etc....
The issue i have is when i drag down this formula to increase it is the rows increment as below
text from a1
1
text from a3
1
text from a5
1
etc...

Any help would be appreciated.
