    Sorting/Filtering

    Hello people!

    I need help on something....

I am currently making an excel worksheet (see attachment). I was able to sort it by month. I also want to sort if by quarter in on the same spot. Just like sorting it by month. It is possible?

An oh, I want to sort it by year also. So at the end of the year, I can get the average. On the same spot as well.

It's like a menu by monthly, quarterly and yearly.

    Can you guys help me?

Thank you and I will appreciate any inputs....

    Hello,

this data is difficult to group by quarter, because you don't use dates, but text for the months. Use real dates instead. Then create your summary with a pivot table instead of the array formulas. You will have much greater flexibility, especially since you are using 2010. Explore the pivot table options with regards to table layout, filters, slicers, etc.

A pivot table will perform much, much faster and is easier to customize than the table of array formulae you have in place right now.
