Hi,
There's a 255 character limit on text in a cell. Use =LEFT(A1,255) to show the first 255 characters.
Rule 1: Never merge cells
Rule 2: See rule 1
"Tomorrow I'm going to be famous. All I need is a tennis racket and a hat".
Ok I will try that but those cells are no different that the other types of cells that I have in the workbook which exceed 255 characters and come out just fine. The files has been updated to show that a cell with much more information displays as it should.
So what would be the correct way to format the cell to display the text correctly?

Just in case someone else run into this problem the solution is the set the cell format to general which will allow you to see everything. If it set to text then you will see ########### if it exceeds 255 characters.
