Paste a copied cell value into multiple cells?

Please can you help? I have a price list to do and need to paste a value from a cell (which is the result of other added cells) to multiple cells. I have tried doing this but it pastes the values from the cells adjacent to the copied cells. I know the $ command to restrict to a specified cell when dragging to fill cells but I cant do this if pasting. Please help, I am not very experienced at excel and am learning as I go along so please go easy :-)

    Thankyou

    Hi,

If your origin cell has $ signs, e.g. =$A$1, then copying and pasting it to other cells will still record =$A$1 in those cells. Hence I don't understand your problem

Can you upload your workbook and tell us which cell you are copying and to which cells you are pasting and how you are doing it.
