Sort column data while locking together objects in different rows

So I need to sort a list of objects in a column, but besides having data just in the adjacent columns, there is also data below the adjacent column that is matched to the need to be sorted cell. I've attached an excel document as an example of what I need done.

I want to sort this data by the delivery month, so I cant make a bunch of data that is similiar to this format ascending or descending. I would then want all the adjacent data to stay the same which would be easy enough, but I also want the data below that I have outlined to stay with the data as it is sorted

Is there a way to lock the cells below (sum,high, median, launch) so that they stay with each group of data? I have a feeling this is impossible, but maybe someone here has a fix.

What you can do is group the various sections that you want to use by using different cell colors. Then you can apply a custom sort to first, sort by color, then add a second level to sort by the delivery month. That should solve your problem.

Hmmmm, when I try this it sorts the first grouped color, then splits the others up to accomodate the date sort. Is there some reason why it is doing this, or an obvious thing I am doing incorrectly. Thank you for your time

Anyone have any possible ideas on what I can do?
