Lookup product then return highest value for it help

    Hi can anyone help.

I have a product worksheet split into ch,uh,bcr,ae,3",5" and pay.

What i want to do is to be able to look up the errors by each product and return the highest value for the week or month to create a top 5 fault as in the attached file tab " Failure Detail"

the failures are highlighted in yellow to report on, and the weeks and months is already calculated from a lookup.

    Is this possible??

    Hi interested,

You have created a table that isn't optimal for Excel. You could do this problem "easily" if you structured you data like this:
    Unit, Date, Passed/Failed, Count, Reason

You would then create a single table and do a Pivot Table with it.
    See - http://chandoo.org/wp/2009/11/17/gro...-pivot-tables/ or

One test is worth a thousand opinions.
