    Conditional formatting

    Hi there

I need to highlight dates with a maturity period of less than 6 months. For example say a fund purchases a series of bonds with different maturity dates 20/11/14, 30/08/13 and 12/05/12. The reporting period end date is 31/12/11. I need a formula to highlight the bonds which have a maturity period of less than 6 months i.e 12/05/12. Any suggestions excel gurus out there?

    Re: Conditional formatting

If A1 is your period end and column B contains your maturities then something like:

    =DATEDIF($A$1,B1,"M")<6
