Does anyone know if a function exists where I can type =function(A33:A38, ,) and it output a string like: cellvalue1,cellvalue2,cellvalue3,cellvalue4,cellvalue5
The two parameters would be the cell range and the other would be the separator

Not a specific Excel function, but you can use a UDF like:
and use formula: =aconcat(A33:A38,",")Please Login or Register to view this content.
or you can download and install free utility called Morefunc from here: http://download.cnet.com/Morefunc/30...-10423159.html
and use function =MCONCAT(A33:A38,",")
Where there is a will there are many ways.

You solved my problem, thank you very much. On another note, how do you install UDF's?
I've discovered a bit of an issue. If the cells aren't adjacent then the MCONCAT function does not work. Is there a way around this?
