    How do make crosstabbs in Excel 2007 in pivot table format?

    Hi,

    Based on the following Excel table:

    Gender SAT
    M 1300
    F 1200
    M 1400
    F 1300
    F 1500
    M 1000

    ..I would like to have the results displayed as follows:

    <1200 >=1200
    M 1 2
    F 0 3

    I just produced the crosstabs by using the formula =COUNTIFS (for the exact calculation, see the attachment). However, I have the feeling it can be done much easier by using pivot tables.

    Can please anyone tell me how I can produce the crosstab above with using a pivot table?

    Thanks in advance..

    Kind regards,
    Timo
