Using the @ Symbol in Formula...

    Hello all,

I was wondering about the significance of using the @ symbol in formula.

Specifically, what would be the difference between calling:

    [@[email ]]

    and

    [[email ]]

...when defining either the lookup value or table array.

    Is there any difference?

Thanks in advance to anybody who cares to advise me

Re: Using the @ Symbol in Formula...

    Hello stebee,

In Excel 2007 the “[#This Row]” notation was used in table formulas to signify the referenced cell came from the same row in the table.

In Excel 2010 the “[#This Row]” notation has been replaced with an “@”

So if you use [@[email ]] means, same row from email column, if you use [[email ]] whole column values.
