Need to create a set of rules to automatically fill in dates & mark overdue dates

Hi there,

Please refer to the attachment highlighted in red, could you please recommend some formulas for the below please?

1. Cell B2 - How do I automatically set today's date in this field? It updates when I open the sheet. It should reflect the PC's date.

2. Cells B3:B9 - this column lists several dates but once a month I'll need to change these cell's month +1. Not the dates, just the months. Unfortunately there are several and I want to avoid doing this manually.
Example:
1 Dec 11 will become 1 Jan 12
25 Dec 11 becomes 25 Jan 12 etc.
Is there a formula I can set so I only need to change it in 1 cell?

3. Is there a way that Excel checks if the date in B3 is equal to or greater than <Today's date> then it highlights the B3's date in red?

3a. If 3 is achievable is there a way to sync alerts in outlook too?

4. Cells F3:F9 - this is a date field that adds 2 days after the date set in column B.
Example:
1 Dec 11 then F = 3 Dec 11
25 Dec 11 then F = 27 Dec 11 etc.

5. Cells H3:H9 = how to set a list of name as a drop down selection? e.g. lisa, mark, james

Thank you so much!

I have offered suggestions for points 1, 3, 4 & 5. I have no idea if 5a is possible

For point 2, what are the criteria for when/how the date would change?

This is great! Thanks FDibbins!

Point 2, I would open this sheet perhaps once a month to change the month +1. Rather than having to change all the dates, perhaps I only need to update 1 cell and it automatically populates in this column with the same dates, just different month?

Added to my oriinal workbook with something that I think will solve your problem. Let me know if this works, or if there is something else I can help with?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
