Excel Import Data not importing entire data set

ISSUE: Importing data from one xls worksheet to another is omitting values on the import.

    CONTEXT:

    I am using Data/Import External Data/Import Data.

The source file is a worksheet that has a blend of columns that have text and numeric values. Some of the columns are 90% date values w/an occasional "TBD" in one or two rows. For example, in a given column, row 1 has a value of zero, row two has a value of zero, row three has a value of "TBD". The two rows w/zero are being imported but the "TBD" cell is not - it shows up as a blank cell on the destination worksheet

    HYPOTHESIS:
I am convinced, after some adjusting the values in the source worksheet that the import process is making a determination of the cell category/type and b/c of leading or a majority of the values being numeric, it is not importing any of the anomalies that are text.

How to I get the import process to stop that decision making and just vacuum up any values? THANKS!

Do you just want a full replication of the cell locations as well? For example if you have data in Cell B1 in workbook 1, do you want that to be in Cell B1 of workbook 2?

You could just try the following formula and modify as needed if it's just another excel sheet, depending on your data set up:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
That's if the sheet is open already...

Could you explain how'd you like to show the data (are you transposing it?)? How large the data is for the source? Possibly an dummy sheet?
