Copy a cell if another column cell is duplicate AND a link?

How can I copy a cell if another cell is a duplicate..but a link?

    Product / Date
    <a href"">Used Prod1</a> / NOTHING
    Used Prod1 / 1-20-12

I would like to copy the date into the NOTHING because the name is the same under the Product column

    Hi,

it is hard to provide you a solution if you give us just one example of data ... but if I understood you ...

    =IF(B2="NOTHING";VLOOKUP(MID(A2;11;LEN(A2)-14);$A$1:$B$3;2;FALSE);"")

... this formula should look in to cell A2 where is <a href"">Used Prod1</a> and if in B2 is NOTHING than it will with VLOOKUP find same product and put date in to the cell where this formula is in.

BUT ... I don't know if you have in every cell this format <a href"">XXXX</a> ... meaning that XXXX is starting every time as 11th character and so on ...

    Cheers, Marko

    Hi Marko,

Thanks for the reply. Exact data for product fields are this:
Used Stoelting 100 Slush Puppie Frozen Drink Machine | Stock No. 10552
Used Stoelting 100 Slush Puppie Frozen Drink Machine | Stock No. 10552
Used Alto-Shaam 1000-UP Insulated Warming Cabinet | Stock No. 289
Used Alto-Shaam 1000-UP Insulated Warming Cabinet | Stock No. 290
Used Stoelting 100-C Frozen Drink Machine | Stock No. 3374
Used Stoelting 100-C Frozen Drink Machine | Stock No. 3374
    Used 3 Compartment Sink w/24" L&R Drainboards | Stock No. 10362

Perhaps I should remove the links somehow first?

    Thanks,

    Todd
