    Text to Columns

    Hello,
I have a significantly long column of dates in the following format "2/1/2011 12:00:05 AM".
I would like to separate the time from the date into a separate column, and am trying to use the 'text to column tool'. However, when I use a delimiter of space it speares the AM portion. Fixed width doesnt work either for me because inevitably, somewhere dowen the column it cuts thru the actual date part. furthermore, I found that even after I separate it, there remains a 0:00:00 time after the date which I dont want to see either.
Any idea how I can simply separate the 2 from each other?
    Thanks,
    Nathan

Not sure how to separate the two but after they are separated select Format Cells, Date and select the format you want. Hope the is helps.

that will help for the date column. Thanks.
Still looking for a way to separate the time and AM\PM from the date onto ONE column.
