Remove an item from a validation list after selected?

    Hello,

I am a softball coach and I want to create a fielding roster for my team. I have all the players names in column A (A4:A14). I have positions listed in column L (L4:L15) as follows: P, C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, LC, CF, RC, RF, X. Cell range B4:H14 (7 innings) is where I need to have drop downs, but once I select a certain positions for one player in inning 1, for ex., I want it to not be available for the next player in the same inning. Can someone please help as I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out how to do it myself.

All of the info/data above is on the same spreadsheet (sheet/tab 1).

SOFTBALL ROSTER Re: Remove an item from a validation list after selected?

    Hello again.

This report above has served me well over the last 2 years. I need to add players to it and "X" values to the the "Full List". After a couple hours of trying to do it myself I have become too frustrated

I just want the report to be based on a team with 12 players and have another X added to the full list (X indicates players who are sitting).

If you can provide a spreadsheet with the changes that would great! In addition, if you could please let me know how to add more players and values to the full list, I can take care of this in the future.

    Much appreciated.

Here is a workbook modified to more or less look like yours and it includes drop-down lists for each inning based on a listing to the right of the Player lists.....don't enter anything in this list off to the right.

This appears to be based on the same basic workbook as yours.
