    Weird Formula query!

    Hello all
    Now I know that someone will know the answer to this one!

    I have a challenge to create a gauge (like a temperature gauge really) showing a decreasing amount of open records - there is a target to reach so I want that to be at the top of the gauge and = 100% complete.
    The reason I am having problems is that we are starting from larger number & ending up at a smaller target number.

    So effectively we are starting at 0=3906 with 100%=2136 & I cant work out how to represent that!

    Any help would be great?!

    Thanks

    Maybe:

    A2 = Start Position
    B2 = Target
    C2 = Current Position
    % Position = =(A2-C2)/(A2-B2)

    Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
    To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

    PLEASE PM WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THIS AND I WILL DELETE THIS POST
    Hope that helps.

    You can't now, but you should have marked this Solved so I suggest that you take a few minutes to read the Forum Rules
