Index formula to return the results at the top of a column

    Hello People..
I've been banging my head trying to work out how to get the formula to return the results at the top of a column & not somewhere further down as it does now. The attached example shows the results at different places down the column. I want the results to start at row 10 for every column I'm going to use.
Any ideas?? I know it's easy when you know how.
    Thanks

    Try, in E10:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER and copy down.

similar in other columns, replacing the >=2 and <3 as required.

or if you place a 2 in E8 and 3 in F8, etc.. you can use formula as:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER and copy down and across columns.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Thanks NBVC.. That's what I'm after. I've been trying to get my head around array formulas & so far haven't found a tutorial that ends with a clear explanation & without leaving me hanging. They all seem to finish without telling you why it does what it does. A step by step would be good.
    I'll keep plugging away
    Thanks again
