    Vertically align text in chart

What I want to do is align the end of each string of text with the X axis. I feel like this should be easy but I can't figure it out. When I try to "align" it, all it does is move the text slightly in a horizontal direction - I need it to move vertically right up to the axis.

    Thanks!

In the axis properties set text alignment as Right Aligned.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

There is no "Text Alignment" That I can set to "Right Aligned". In the "Format Axis" menu, there is an "Alignment" tab, but under that is only horizontal alignment, which as far as I can tell doesn't change anything when I change it around, and a text direction, which only affects the direction of the text, it will not let me align it.

Does anybody know how to do this?

    Thank you.

I could not create a chart with the alignment you have. Can you post workbook example rather than static picture.

Sure - I have attached an example of the phenomenon. I just want the end of the labels to align up with the X axis - it seems like it should be easy, but I am stumped.

    Thanks for your help!

The cells with the category labels are full of trailing spaces which is causing the mis alignment in the chart.
If you remove the trailing spaces the chart will appear correct.
