    Lookup Value from different Sheet

    Dear Seniors and all members,

I am here again and required your assistance. Actually I got stuck with my work regarding the lookup value function.

I am trying to compile a sheet, where I need data according to Year wise as I mentioned 0~2 and Skill wise. I tried using =VLOOKUP($D$3,Sheet2!$A$2:$Y$5,MATCH($B4,Sheet2!$B$1:$Y$5,0)+1,FALSE)

But this is not giving me output.

Attaching file for your reference, kindly advise me to correct this formula.

    Regards,
    Kunal Kumar

    Hi Kunal,

The sign "~" is causing issue here, is there any way to avoid this?

    Dear Dilip,

Thanks for notifying that. Shall we have "-" instead of "~". or any sign will cause problem.

Or anything else, because, I have to show that for year duration, please suggest any other way to mark that.

    hello kunal,

maybe it's the merge cell in sheet2 that's affecting the match(), the vlookup() is o.k.
I think people forget the word "THANK YOU!!!!" Do you still know it???

There is a little star ( ADD REPUTATION ) below those person who helped you. Click it to say your "PRIVATE APPRECIATION TO THEIR EFFORT ON THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS "

    Hi Kunal,

If we replace ~with -, this is working now. See the attachment.
