Date & Time Picker for Excel 2010

    Hello All
For cross posting purposes I have also put a post up here, (No replies as of yet :-(
    http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=614783

    Here's the post,
    Hello All.
    I'm using excel 2010.
    I came across a great time & date picker here;
    http://isamrad.com/ExcelCal/default.htm
    http://blogs.office.com/b/microsoft-...e-pickers.aspx

(##As a note,, I did try & email the creator,Sam Radakovitz,, but the email on his website bounced back,, I think maybe he developed this back in 2005,, looking at the date on his website)

It's aesthetically perfect,, only,,, it seems to be made for earlier versions of excel.
I have emailed the developer to see if he is going to make it 100% 2010 compatible.

If I protect my sheet & click in a cell where a small calender icon should appear to the right of the cell,, it doesn't
A couple of other issues also unfortunately.

    So,, my question is,,,
Is there a 100% compatible Date & time picker for excel 2010 that is comparable to this?

I do see that excel offer formulas for dates/times etc.
But I really am looking for something (KISS) ,, simple to use, to insert a use defined date,, (Which I can format the cell as day/date/mth/yr )
The above also has a right click context menu option that says "Pick from Calender"

It's so good,, if only it worked 100% in 2010

Has anybody got any ideas/solutions or ran into similar problems?

I hope somebody can advise on an alternative root.

    Many thanks for your time.
    John Caines

PS,, I've just notice a thread here that relates to the same calender!! ;-)
    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...-add-in-2.html

Seems the code is protected,,let be look in my sheet,, yes,, a password is needed,, dame...

Is anybody using excel 2010 with an alternative date picker of a similar quality (If this is the right word),, maybe better to say, functionality...

    I'm all ears.
    again,
    Many thanks

It must be related to the Windows 64-bit, I've not come across this error before. Have you tried the userform example there?

Re: Date & Time Picker for Excel 2010

    Hi Roy,,
I did download the DateCombos you mean?
I'm really not too hot in excel,,, so I really don't want to waste your time here.
    I opened it, & saw a date.
I did see the vb code,, & a user form.

I take it it's so you can create your own user from with the one already in VB as a template?
I'll have to read on how to do this.
I'm starting to go off on a tangent here,, so no need to explain it Roy,,as it will be another big exercise for me,, ;-)
    Almost 8pm here now!!
I still need to get 1 big post off , I promised someone ,,

Again,, many thanks for your help.
    As a note,
the other date picker I had,, I did read that someone else had trouble with that in 64bit,,,,,
no sorry,, I'm mistaken,, that was 64bit excel, not windows,, (Ignore what i just said),,
I should have just deleted that last comment.

    Many thanks again Roy.
    All the best

    Thanks for your reply RoyUK,,
Seems to have an error again?
    Maybe it's 64bit windows?

A short video of the compile error.
Not sure why,, just thought I'd let you see what happened.
