Calculating down in a column product of two other cells W/O changing calculated value

I want enter a formula in a column where the formula take the product of any other two cells, calculate and then go down the same column calculate dynamically again the same product from the same cells .
The reference cells from where I wan to keep values will be changing but the formula cell column should not change the earlier calculated value in the upper cells. Addressing cells will be exactly the same all the time with changing values but formula cell will be going down.
Please tell me what formula shall I use in my column?

Sure, give us 3 examples of the what the formulas would be if you had to each of them manually, point out the part you'd like to make change "automatically" as you copy down.

OH my God what the nice forums and what the helpful people!
I posted reply and within a minute I got help. Thanks Guys
Addressing Cells: Cell#1 “currency daily value” (This I will put manually daily): Cell#2: I want to keep a value may or may not be fixed but will be changing time to time.
    Starting Formula Columns: =Product (Cell#1, Cell#2)
    Then the next column
    Then the next column
    Then the next column
    Then the next column
The point here is that if I change the addressing cell’s value, the values of the preceding already calculated cells, located above, must not change but remain the same!

Sorry, the forum usually notifies me of "responses" in threads, I didn't get one this time.

I"m sorry, you posted "Pseudo formulas". Can you post 3-4 actual formulas that would be the natural progression of one formula to the next so I can see the relationships and the sample "cells" those formulas would be in?

Alternately, post a sample workbook showing some sample data an manually mocked up "results" so we can see you target. Click GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to post up a copy of your workbook.

    1) Go into TOOLS > OPTIONS > Calculation > [x] Iteration and check that box. This will allow you to create a formula that references itself.
    2) Put 0 in all your cells B6:B20
    3) Now put this formula in B6, then copy down:

    =IF(EOMONTH(TODAY(),0)=EOMONTH(A6,0), PRODUCT($D$4, $E$4), B6)

Now only the cells that match the month in column A will update in column B as you make edits to D4:E4.

Thanks but it did not work!

I did exactly what was suggested but it returns only as "TRUE" ,inspite of the fact that it is addressing the right cells (D4 & E4)

    Thanks!

I did copy and paste earlier and failed, later I put the whole formula manually and it worked great.

    Really Thanks, Buddies
