    Question Conditional Formating help

    So i have varrious assets which i track that expire, i've figured out a rule that will highlight the dates of assets within 6 and 3 months of expiring, however my rule for less then three months is a less then statement which also formats any blank cells.

    i'm trying to figure out a rule i can use to make conditional formating ignore blank cells.

    Hi

    Something like this?

    =AND($A1<TODAY(),$A1<>"")

    Re: Conditional Formating help

    What type would that be cell value is equal to?

    the way i have the rule atm it applies to an entire collum, there are some spaces in my rows due to segregated inventory, i tried to use a similar rule cell value not equal to "" but didnt work.

    tweaked on it, it was working but when i set it to no fill my less then rule prevailed.

    Re: Conditional Formating help

    Select a cell to which you want to apply Condtional Formatting
    On the Home tab (Excel 2007) select Condtional Formatting, New Rule, Use a formula to determine...

    Enter the formula as suggested and format the cell as required

    Use Format Painter to copy the CF to other cells

    Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.
