    Conditional Formatting with Merged Rows

    All,

I run a report and the data comes out in a way that data is merged in cells starting in column A, and as you move across columns, it tapers out into a single cell. (See Attachment) The only way to differentiate between "bookings" is by the reference #. I want to conditionally format by the bookings so it highlights every other booking. (using excel 2003) Thanks for all your help!

    Hi

As i can understand, if you want to highlight only column A, there is no problem.

Problem is with the other columns because of the merged cells in column A...!

Do you really need the merged cells?
    Regards

    Fotis.
