    Smile PTO Accrual Spreadsheet

    Hi,

I work for a small non-profit, and I'm attempting to create a spreadsheet to track PTO accrual, and track eligible carry over.

If anyone can please help that would be great. Based on 40 hrs per week

    Length of Service <1 year
    1 to 5 yrs = 1.25 days per month
6-9 years =1.75 days per month

Eligible to carry over 5 per year.

I've been away from excel for 3 years so I'm really struggling, any help would be so gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks

Please upload a sample workbook layout. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

Show the data, presumably start date, todays date, hours worked and maybe other information, and then show an example of all the combinations of results that flow from your data. Add some explanatory notes as to how you have arrived at your calculations.

Thank you so much Richard. I have attached a sample. I used to know excel pretty well, but I've been away from it.
I also apologize if I'm not following the forum rules correctly, I will learn.

    Thanks Jill,

But I still don't understand what results you expect to see.

Please add data in one colour, enter results in another colour and explain in a note on the worksheet exactly how you calculate the results. At the moment I have little idea what you are expecting to see.

    Regards

Is this what you want? You didn't really explain it too well.

    In Column H:

There may be a shorter, more efficient formula, but that can wait till we know exactly what you are looking for.
